Paramedic Student Program
The Sussex County EMS Paramedic Student Program provides an opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in paramedicine to begin that journey as part of our organization. In partnership with Delaware Technical Community College’s Terry Campus in Dover, selected students complete their paramedic education while beginning their professional development with Sussex County EMS.
Student positions are offered based on available County funding, departmental needs, and anticipated staffing requirements. Because these needs may change, student positions may not be available during every academic cycle.
When positions are offered, candidates participate in a competitive hiring and selection process for the opportunity to become an SCEMS Paramedic Student.
